We started trading in June 1997 as Priority One Ltd, and changed our name in November 2000 to Loans.co.uk. At that time we adopted our mascot, Digger the Dog. Digger represents the qualities our customers want from their best friend in the loans business and the qualities we continually provide as standard - fast, friendly, eager and straightforward.

Loans.co.uk can confidently claim to rank amongst the UK's best business. We have an impressive pedigree within the financial market. Part of our success lies in our commitment to setting new standards. We believe in our ability of providing the highest level of customer service and never settling for second best.

Our Head Office is based in Watford, Hertfordshire where over 300 of our people work. We have bright, modern offices and our own purpose built gym.

In April 2004 we opened a call centre in Preston, Lancashire. This office currently employees over 100 staff and is growing fast.

In addition to our loan processing service, we also have in-house teams of IT, Training, Accounts, Marketing and HR. The result is a thoroughly professional organisation with a great deal of autonomy and minimal reliance on the need to outsource.

With our growth and success has come awards - in 2004 alone we were voted the 5th Best Small and Medium Sized Company to Work For in the UK and 5th Fastest Growing Company in the UK, both by The Sunday Times. We have also been awarded Investor in People status, and were voted Business of the Year in the Watford and North West London Business Awards. In 2005 we were awarded 10th place in the Sunday Times Best Company to Work For Award. In 2006 we were awarded 43rd place in the Best Companies to Work For by the Financial Times and were listed again listed as finalists at the Hertford Business Awards. We were also awarded 25th place in the Sunday Times Best Company to Work For Award.. 2007 has been no different. We've recently been listed 68th in Britain's Top Employers by The Guardian.
